LINCONE for the Heroes
The LINCONE for the Heroes event is one of the largest First Responder recognition events held in the Lincoln and surrounding communities. Each year, LINCONE partners with a local restaurant and from September 1 -10th LINCONE representatives deliver lunches to all Lincoln Police, Lancaster County Sheriff, and Lincoln Fire & Rescue stations. On the day of 9/11 LINCONE covers the cost of lunch for First Responders who visit the partnering restaurant. This is LINCONE's way of sharing our appreciation to the tireless commitment and dedication of our First Responders. They are always a phone call away.

Children’s Miracle Network LINCONE has been participating in Children’s Miracle Network fundraising events for over 20 years. Nebraska Credit Union’s have raised over two million dollars in funds to benefit Children’s Hospital & Medical Center. The funds have been used to assist in the care of children throughout the community and beyond. See below for what LINCONE, and Credit Unions from across the state, have accomplished.

Adulthood 101
LINCONE is the exclusive sponsor for Adulthood 101. This community initiative provides education to young adults 20-31 years of age. Previous topics have been “Credit Scores” “How To Create a Budget” and “Investing Basics”. Adulthood 101 will take place again once the pandemic and restrictions are lifted.
Veteran's Freedom Music Festival
The Veteran's Freedom Music Festival was established in 2015. There have been several sponsors for this wonderful event, however, LINCONE is the only remaining original sponsor. LINCONE is proud to continue to be a sponsor and support this event benefiting the VA.
Stop the Bleed
LINCONE is the first in the community, outside of healthcare facilities, to promote and bring community awareness to the Stop the Bleed Campaign. Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign designed to provide education and life saving techniques to local communities. This initiative started in 2015 to cultivate grassroots efforts to encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. Training techniques include: bandaging, pressure and tourniquets.
Tribute to Trauma

LINCONE is the only Credit Union in the area to support this emotional and inspiring event. Tribute to Trauma celebrates the men and women who save lives in our community. Each year the local trauma unit selects a patient and shares the traumatic story of the event, the patient's struggles and & their survival. During the event, numerous individuals from first responders, nurses, doctors, surgeons, techs, physical therapists and more are ALL recognized. Many stories are heartfelt, emotional, and inspirational. |
Elliott School
LINCONE works with Elliott Elementary to promote financial education and savings. A group of dedicated LINCONE representatives, along with school administrators, select 8 students to be tellers who in turn collect deposits from fellow students. Each student receives incentives for reaching established savings goals. Students, Teachers and LINCONE representatives truly enjoy this collaboration in financial education.
Star City Stocking Stuffer
Each year, for over 35 years, LINCONE has collected new unwrapped toys and gifts to benefit the Lincoln Action Program. The Lincoln Action Program takes the generous donations and distributes the toys and gifts to under privileged youth and teens during the Christmas Holiday Season.
