April's locallift Partner is NoWear BMX!

At LincOne Federal Credit Union, we've always believed that strong communities are built through more than just financial services. Connections are built through connection, investment in the people around us, and a willingness to lift others up when it matters most. That belief is exactly what brought us to our newest locallift partnership, and we couldn't be more excited to share it.

This April, LincOne FCU is proud to partner with No Wear BMX for a very special bike giveaway aimed at helping young people ages 10 to 25 access the tools, community, and confidence they need to build a strong future.

Who Is NoWear BMX?

NoWear BMX is more than a cycling organization, it's a movement. Founded with the mission to provide young people of any age and background a positive environment. NoWear BMX uses BMX riding as a vehicle for building self-confidence, teamwork, and the kind of character that shapes a person's future. The organization has a particular focus on supporting at-risk youth and teens, providing a community and a passion to rally around when other paths feel uncertain.

Karl, the founder, has built something genuinely special here. You may have already seen his team in action. If you've caught the BMX stunt shows at the County Fair, that's NoWear BMX doing what they do best. If that gives you a taste of their energy and talent, the Freestyle Series BMX competition, is open to the public and free of charge. The freestyle series is going to be on an entirely different level, with professional riders being flown in and an Olympic gold medalist joining the roster.

The Giveaway: 3 to 7 Bikes, One Month to Enter

Throughout the entire month of April, LincOne is facilitating a giveaway of 3 to 7 BMX bikes to deserving individuals between the ages of 10 and 25. This is open to everyone, members and non-members alike. We're encouraging people to either enter for themselves or nominate someone in their life who could benefit.

What makes this giveaway different is that it's not a random drawing. Every entry includes a short questionnaire giving the applicant the chance to share their story. Questions include why they deserve this bike, how it might help them find their footing, or what it would mean for their path forward. The No Wear BMX team will personally review all entries, and select the most deserving recipients by the end of May.

This thoughtful approach is a reflection of everything NoWear BMX stands for. These bikes aren't just prizes, they're opportunities.

How to Enter or Nominate

There are a couple of easy ways to get involved:

• • QR Code: Visit any LincOne branch lobby and look for the Jeremiah Droescher Foundation display. The QR code on the display will take you directly to the entry questionnaire.
• • Physical Form: Prefer pen and paper? Physical entry forms are available at any of our three branches and can be filled out and submitted directly.

The questionnaire is short and straightforward. This isn't meant to be a barrier, it's simply an opportunity to let each applicant's voice be heard. If you know a young person in our community who is working hard, facing challenges, or just needs a spark of positivity, please take a few minutes to nominate them. It could make a real difference in their lives.

Mark Your Calendar: The Freestyle Series BMX Competition

In addition to the giveaway, NoWear BMX will be hosting their Freestyle Series BMX Competition, a free, public event that promises to be one of the most exciting things happening in Lincoln this spring. The series will include professional BMX riders and an Olympic gold medalist in attendance, this is a stunt show unlike anything the area has seen. We'd love to see LincOne members and staff come out in force to cheer them on and show our community support.

Each round is happening at the NoWear Compound - 855 N 18th Rd, Unadilla, NE 68454.

Round 3 - May 16th

Round 4 - June 20th

Round 5 - Cornhusker State Games - July 11th
