LincOne Federal Credit Union: Keeping Money Local Since 1955!

Since 1955, LincOne Federal Credit Union has proudly upheld the credit union philosophy of people helping people, a guiding principle that continues to shape everything we do. What began as a grassroots effort by Lincoln Goodyear employees has grown into one of Lancaster County’s most trusted financial institutions, dedicated to keeping money local and helping our neighbors thrive.

Our Beginnings: 1955

On October 11, 1955, the Lincoln Goodyear Employees Federal Credit Union was officially formed. With its first “branch” operating out of the trunk of a car, it was a true community effort, built on trust, cooperation, and the belief that financial strength should start within the neighborhood.

Growing Together: 2002 – 2004

As Lancaster County grew, so did the credit union.

• In 2002, Cushman Federal Credit Union joined the membership.
• On March 27, 2003, LincOne received approval to expand its charter to a Community Charter, allowing anyone who lives, works, worships, or studies in Lancaster County to become a member.
• On August 1, 2004, Dorsey Laboratories Federal Credit Union joined the LincOne community.

Each step strengthened our ability to serve local families, businesses, and public employees, reinforcing our mission to be a local credit union for everyone in Lancaster County.

A New Name, A Unified Mission: 2005

On January 10, 2005, Lincoln Goodyear Employees FCU officially became LincOne Federal Credit Union, representing one unified, local financial community focused on keeping money local.

Continuing to Grow: 2015

On April 1, 2015, Peoples Choice Federal Credit Union (formerly City County Employees Credit Union) merged with LincOne, creating a stronger, more connected credit union to benefit our members and the Lincoln community.
