Meet Keenan Eats: A Community Curator & Storyteller Who Found His Mission in Food

Keenan Serrano, who you may know as Keenan Eats, is a community curator, storyteller, and entrepreneur who uses food as a way to connect with local businesses, cultures, and experiences to bring people together. Before Here For The Food existed, Keenan spent years as a recording artist and co-owner of a recording studio, creating spaces where musicians could connect, collaborate, and grow. That instinct for bringing people together around a shared passion never left him. It just found a new table to sit at.

Growing up between Nebraska and New York City gave Keenan an appreciation for both the close-knit nature of local communities and the diversity of cultures food can introduce people to. His love of food started early, around family cookouts, barbecues, and fishing trips, and it grew from there into a genuine passion for exploring cuisines from around the world.

The commitment to local business is personal for Keenan, too. His uncle owned and operated a restaurant, giving Keenan a firsthand look at the sacrifice, risk, and dedication it takes to run a small business, especially in the food industry. That's the reason Here For The Food exists: to help great local restaurants in Lancaster County and surrounding areas get more people through the door, and to make sure the hidden gems he loves don't get overlooked. Keenan's content helps viewers find local restaurants, events, and experiences. His content is discovered by 200,000 per month! When speaking with Keenan, one of his favorite and most memorable experiences so far was when a high school student invited him to an event where the student created a four-course dinner inspired by the life stages of a butterfly. 

What started as a way to spotlight local restaurants has grown into something bigger. Today, Keenan's work spans features, events, and community-building initiatives, all designed to celebrate local culture, support entrepreneurs, and encourage people to explore what's right in their own backyard. Keenan hosts his own event - Here For The Food Festival- a lineup of the best restaurants in the Lancaster County area. It's a great day bringing together community, food, and great vibes. Keenan also hosts Here For the Story - A live storytelling dinner series where he interviews restaurant owners about their life experiences and passion for food and community. During these events, attendees also enjoy a curated dinner from the restaurants that Keenan interviews. Through these events, Keenan is combining his passion for curation and storytelling while bringing the community together through food. His vision is simple: a more connected community, where people support local with intention and stay open to new experiences. His purpose means much more than the food content; it's the local people and connections he creates through something we all enjoy: food! We were grateful to partner with him in supporting our local Food Truck Fest event, bringing awareness to those affected by hunger scarcity right here in Lancaster County. Why this matters for our Lancaster County locallift
